     Kinsmiths Ties has been making our Hand Tailored Men's neckties, bowties, boys' ties, cummerbunds and suspenders since 1975 when my mother, Florence, and I decided to expand our mother/daughter/friend relationship to include being business partners.  She was a Smith...I was a Smith...we were kin....we officially became

                    Kinsmiths

For more than 25 years we traveled all around New York state, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Maryland exhibiting our ties at art shows.  Many times we'd be at two different shows on the same weekend so if you knew us, you may have seen my Mom and Dad at one show while my kids and I were at another.

 

TIMES CHANGE.  My Dad passed away 7 years ago, my Mom retired from our tie business, I moved to Florida and my kids are now in college.

 

Ah.....but the tie business lives on!  And the energy of all my "kin smiths" surrounds me in photos that line every wall of my sewing room.  It's this energy that maintains the high standards and the same careful attention that has always gone into every step of the making:  from fabric selection to cutting, stitching, pressing and labeling.

 

DESIGNS, COLORS AND TIE WIDTHS AL L CHANGE, too...and they'll keep on changing.  Especially the designs and colors.  I'll stay current with the right tie width and keep changing the selection of ties to keep them fresh and available.

 

Thanks for stopping by.......  I miss seeing you all at the shows.  Those were good times that I'll always remember.  And I hope you always remember:
