Those of us who hate to ask for directions and read manuals become more effective when we learn when to get technical support. Calling for help can save hours, days, weeks and months of hassle. If your computer is under warranty, it is good to have your support Internet or phone listings handy. It's also good to try it out before you need it.
If you computer is out of warranty, you may want to establish a relationship with a local technician. It may be that favorite nephew or savvy neighbor. If so and he/she LOVES to spend time with you and your computer you are fortunate. I have a nice relationship with ACT Computers here in Vero Beach. More on my friends at ACT in the future.
