Blaster Worm: Fix & Patch
The most it does is slow down your computer ..ALOT! and spread over your network if you have one. Turns out I DON'T have the Worm ..My DirecPC Satellite Internet is just SLOW! Anyway, below are links for info, the preventative patch & the Fix. WBlast or Lovsan ..here's the CNN story.
Norton's Worm Fix tool Download to your desktop, get
offline and run it.
Microsoft's Patch Page After running the tool, download this to your
desktop and run it as well. Now you're safe from the worm!

| (by opening the down arrow by the "Save in" field and clicking desktop from the drop-down list). |
| Close everything and then double click the icon for it (look carefully ..it's there!) |
| Click Start & let it run. |
| Reboot if asked. |
