Back to Software or Faith's Indian River Wired Home Most of us use Word for reports and letters. For the average user I always advise: type your content first. Then go back and format the letter to look the way you want. The reason for that is if you change your mind about what you're doing, Word and you could end up in a tussle with Word's automatic features. Selecting a word or line or paragraph or page and then formatting it is called "Direct formatting". But for long documents you might want to apply a style. (To be continued)
