Copyrights on the Internet - An oxymoron?
How would you feel if your clever invention, wisdom or design shows up on someone else's web site? Here's the research I've done on Internet copyright including some interesting discussion among site designers.
The following link is the simplest explanation of copyright I could find. It is at API Worldwide, the Association for Protection of Internet Copyright. I also have an extensive list of links on the subject . But after getting an understanding of what copyright is, what I found most helpful was a forum at about.com where web designers discussed their experiences. Take a look at this recent discussion. What I gathered is that you should put as much legal warning to people telling them not to steal your stuff. Then realize that it probably will be very expensive to litigate if you find someone doing it to you. Then .. if you read through this discussion you'll pick up a few tips. My consensus after reading it? If you don't feel flattered then retaliate!Yet another Non-Profit Org site on copyright.
Internet Copyrights - of course for a fee you can do it legally.
Diglaw - More security for dollars but an informative site.
