AOL Downloads ......

Most image files will pop up when the download is complete.  But others make you go find them.  AOL 6.0 has re-arranged it's menus so to avoid describing different versions, try clicking the Keyword button at the upper right of the AOL desktop under the toolbar (icons).

1st Method: Type in "Download Manager" (without quotes).  The download manager appears.  Click "Show files downloaded ". Usually your last download will be at the top.  Click "Locate".  This opens your download folder.  Then you can double click the file and and see it.  If that last step fails it is because you don't have the software your sender had to make the file.  Or your computer doesn't know which program to use for the file.  You can ask the sender to try sending it differently.

2nd Method: Create a shortcut on your desktop and open the folder by double clicking it.  To create it :

    1. Double click "My Computer", then "C", then "America Online" (the latest version), then right  click on Download.

    2. Click Create Shortcut.  Shrink this window so you can crag the shortcut onto your desktop.  You can right click it and click rename and name it  "AOL DOWNLOADS" (hit enter after rename)
